I have recently learned the true value of friends and trust. Oddly enough, they don't always follow each other. For instance, I have many friends that I don't have complete trust in. Over this past week I have learned who I truly trust and who are truly my friends. Just for the hell of it here are my definitions of trust and friend:
friend: someone that associates with you on a regular basis, will help you through everything, and accepts you as who you are
trust: when two people have a mutual feeling of honesty and dependence
Since that's taking care of...
So this week I told my best friend my most valuable secret, knowing and hoping that he would take it and keep it secure. And, as I knew would happen, he did. I was actually quite amazed that a kid that I've known since fourth grade, could understand and keep such an important secret. I can only say "thank you" to him, for I have realized that he is my most trusted friend.
After I told him, I was nervous and happy. I now know that trusting friends is very important in life. Because without trusting friends, or friends at all for that matter, we would be absolute lost in the world. I, like many other people, depend on my friends to help me through everything. And I know that they also depend on me. After all, a friends job is to be with you through everything, not just the minor stuff.
This is where I discuss all of my thoughts that most people would not like/agree with. Here I can say what I think and if you have a problem with it, its your fault because you clicked the link. :)
